21일 비벌리 힐즈 호텔에서 열린 제 33회 American Music Awards 후보 지명식에서 Mariah Carey가 최우수 여성 아티스트, 를 비롯해서 팝과 R&B 부문 최우수 앨범 등 총 4개 부문 후보에 오르며 건재함을 과시했다.

Kelly Clarkson, 50 Cent, Green Day 등이 3개부문 후보에 오르며 그 뒤를 이었다.


이날 후보들은 지난 한해 동안의 앨범 판매 성적과 2만명의 라디오 청취자를 대상으로 한 설문조사를 통해 선발됐다.

33회 American Music Awards(AMA)의 본 시상식은 오는 11월23일 LA의 Shrine Auditorium에서 열린다.
